Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using SanctuaryCMS. Last updated July 29, 2026.

These terms apply when your church signs up for and uses SanctuaryCMS ("the Service"), provided by DBNet Development & Design ("we," "us," "DBNet"). We've tried to write these in plain language rather than dense legal text — if anything here is unclear, just ask us at support@sanctuarycms.com.

What you're getting

SanctuaryCMS is hosted church management software — member directory, giving, attendance, events, and related tools — provided on a monthly or annual subscription basis at the plan tier you select. We host and maintain the software; you and your church's designated administrators manage your own church's data within it.

Billing and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, based on the plan you choose. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and we don't offer partial refunds for the remainder of a paid period. Changing plans (upgrading or downgrading) is handled the same way — upgrades take effect immediately, downgrades at your next billing cycle.

Your data

Your church's data — member records, giving history, attendance, and everything else you enter — belongs to your church, not to us. We don't sell it, share it with third parties for marketing, or use it for anything other than providing the Service to you. If you cancel your subscription, we'll provide a reasonable window to export your data before it's removed from our systems; reach out to support if you need this and we'll work with you on timing.

Support access

DBNet Development & Design maintains administrative access to your SanctuaryCMS installation for the purpose of providing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance. This access is set up when your system is first installed and exists specifically so we can help you directly when something needs fixing, rather than requiring you to walk us through screen-shares for every issue. We do not use this access to view or modify your data outside of legitimate support and maintenance purposes.

Uptime and reliability

We host SanctuaryCMS on established, reputable infrastructure and work to keep it available and responsive. As a small, growing company, we don't currently offer a formal uptime guarantee or service-level agreement — we want to be upfront about that rather than promise something we can't fully back yet. If reliability at that level matters to your organization, please talk to us before signing up so we can set the right expectations together.

Acceptable use

SanctuaryCMS is intended for legitimate church and ministry administration. Please don't use it to store or transmit anything illegal, to attempt to access other churches' data, or to interfere with the operation of the Service for other users.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally as the Service evolves. If we make a material change, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active customers by email before it takes effect.
